Copy These Traffic Strategies…

One of my favorite bloggers online is Kim Roach over at BuzzBlogger.com.

Kim is one of those rare finds in the IM space that consistently provides
tremendous value in everything she does.

She’s a country gal at heart but don’t let that fool you…

She’s been beating out many of the big-name gurus with
her southern belle charm.

In fact, many refer to her as the ‘Traffic Queen’. Which from
what I’ve seen is certainly a worthy title.

At the ripe ‘ol age of 27 she’s managed to unlock
the secrets to massive traffic…testing and tweaking
new traffic strategies… plus adding her own little
twists and tricks.

And unlike most other marketers, she spends most of her
time in the trenches, locked up in the marketing laboratory –
cookin’ up more juicy traffic goodness.

But every once in a while she surfaces back up into the
real world to share her latest findings.

If you’d like to see what she’s been cookin’ up in
the lab lately go now to:

Buzz Blogger

Kim’s has unlocked her very best traffic strategies in her latest
product called ‘The Marketing Lab’. It’s a LIVE Traffic Lab
that gives you the nitty gritty about what works and what doesn’t.
It contains over 20 of Kim’s top traffic getting methods.

Inside the ‘Marketing Lab’ Kim shows you how to go from nothing
to over 3,000+ subscribers in just 30 days. (all in step-by-step detail).

You literally point and click your way to increased traffic with Kim’s
unique dashboard design. (as seen above)

You have to actually TRY to mess this one up! Because the point-and-click
learning system forces you to take action.

Here’s a sneak peak at what you’ll find inside…

An underground tool for extracting exactly
where your competitor’s website traffic is
coming from. This is like being given the
keys to the kingdom. (I’m really surprised
Kim is sharing this little gem)

(If you thought Alexa was cool imagine knowing EXACTLY
how much traffic your competitors were getting each day
and knowing exactly where that traffic was coming from.)

“James Bond” tactics for spying on your
competitors and forcing them to hand over
all of their hard-earned, battle-tested,
profit-busting strategies.

A super simple method for cramming your opt-in
list with 200-400 subscribers in a single day…
(and NO this has nothing to do with ad swaps)

A really cool strategy that shows you how to get 10x
MORE traffic from EVERY article you write.

As many of you probably already know, traditional article
marketing is becoming less and less effective. What worked
in 2004 simply doesn’t cut it anymore.

So Kim show’s you 10 different ways to re purpose your content
for additional traffic and exposure. Use just a couple of the
strategies in this video and you’ll have no excuse for not
getting AT LEAST a couple hundred visitors for every article
you publish.

… and that’s just the tip of the iceberg!

This thing is packed with over 8 hours of juicy
traffic goodness… NO fluff… NO filler.

With over 8 hours of step-by-step video and
enough how-to information to DESTROY literally
every question, worry and problem you’ve ever
had in regards to traffic.

A Word of Warning: There’s just ONE caveat to this
product. In fact, these traffic methods will NOT work in all
situations. In order for these traffic strategies to reap
their full power – you MUST be creating HIGH QUALITY CONTENT!
(not some auto-generated content that not even your momma would
be proud of…)

If you think you’re going to slap together some useless crap,
throw up some auto-generated sites and have thousands of visitors
pouring in…This course is NOT for you.

This training course was created specifically for people who
are looking to build REAL businesses online… People who are
dedicated to providing top-notch value for their visitors,
subscribers, and customers.

This is something Kim stresses a lot, and I agree. If you’re
not willing to take the time and effort to put together some
really good content and offer real value, then don’t bother
with ‘The Traffic Dashboard’. It will just be a waste of time
for you if you don’t have good content in place.

But…

If you are dedicated to building a REAL business online and
providing your visitors with REAL VALUE then ‘The Traffic
Dashboard’ will help you to grow your business 10x faster.

Plus, at an affordable price to boot!

So, if you’re ready to turn on the traffic tap, then
click on the link below…

Buzz Blogger

There are no “tricks”, or “magic traffic buttons” here, just
proven traffic strategies that are designed to generate traffic
as quickly as possible.

Plus, for those of you who are more advanced, Kim combines old
school tactics with new traffic twists and tips that you won’t
want to miss…

Changes…

In less than 2 weeks we will be moving into this house! Beautiful isn’t it? I’m super excited!! The move will be the first of a few changes in our family. I’m hoping the Caiden will adjust well to his new room. In his new room he will have a new twin sized bed. Right now, he is still in a toddler bed, but when we move, we will finally get to set up the crib for Bennett, so we will need the crib mattress from Caiden’s toddler bed. I’m hoping he will adjust to both of these changes pretty quickly.

Then in August will be our next big change. Caiden will leave the daycare he is in now and begin Kindergarten in his new school, in the school district we are moving into. Which means he will not know anyone. We toured his new school a couple of weeks ago and I think he was pretty excited. We’ll see what he thinks when the day comes. I am dreading it, because I still remember what it was like when he started his new daycare/preschool a year ago. But of course, I don’t tell him this! And of course I am sad because my first baby is going off to school. I think I’m going to have to take the whole day off to recover! On the plus side, the school is less and a mile away from our house! YAY!!

And then there is Bennett. I now have to start the mission to find a new in-home daycare for him as well. I am dreading this. I was really hoping I would never have to do this search again. Yuck. But the little booger is growing like a weed. Today I have him in an outfit that is size 6/9 months and it fits perfectly. He is 2 days shy of 3 months old!! At his 2 month checkup a couple of weeks ago, he was 13 pounds 2 ounces!! He is a healthy guy, that’s for sure. Also had his 2 month pics taken about a week ago. They turned out adorable!! This one made me laugh out loud when I saw it, and seems to be many people’s favorites.

Oh how time flies

I cannot believe that tomorrow morning I will be headed back to work. I does not seem possible that it has been 8 weeks since my second son entered this world! When it was time to go back to work after Caiden was born almost 5 years ago, I was so ready to get back to reality. Now that tomorrow is the big day; this time around, I am not ready!
What’s the difference this time? I think it is because my hubby is home to relieve me of my duties and to hold adult conversation. When Caiden was a newborn, hubby was working out of town, leaving on Monday morning and coming home Thursday night. So I couldn’t wait to get back to work and be with other adults.
What makes me the most nervous is the mornings. Bennett currently wakes up at about 4AM to eat and goes back to sleep by 5. So at that point, do I go back to sleep for an hour, or do I just begin the day at 4? Then I have to get 2 children ready and out the door, dropping them off at two different places and get to work by 7:45AM. Of course, everyone at work knows not to expect me on time on my first day back. Actually I told them not to count on it for at least the first 2 months!
In case you didn’t know, I am NOT a morning person. I will get up at the last minute possible to get to work on time…and now I don’t know what that last minute is!
Why doesn’t hubby help me in the mornings you wonder? Well, because he has to drive over an hour to work everyday, so many days he is on the road before we even wake Caiden up.
Oh boy…tomorrow will be interesting!

Ramblings of a Sleep Deprived Mama

Bennett is now 5 weeks old and we have yet to get on a schedule. I better start one soon, because I go back to work in less than three weeks…YIKES!! It sometimes feels like his schedule is getting more and more off; he is starting to sleep more during the day and not so much at night. Of course, I do believe my child knows that he is slowly torturing me at night, because right when I have about had enough at night, I get him out of his bed praying he will go back to sleep, and he will look right at me, coo and smile. Melts my heart every time!

It is still weird for me to say the “kids” or the “children” instead of just Caiden. New flash to self…I now have 2 children! Get used to it!

Is it strange that I sometimes wish I was still in the hospital? Ok, really it didn’t feel like a hospital, more like a hotel room, with a hospital bed in it. I mean come on…I had nurses and doctors at my finger tips if I had any questions, someone else to stay up with the baby all night long until I was ready for the baby in the morning, no worries about laundry or cleaning the house, visitors to chat with throughout the day…all I had to do was put my feet up and rest. I even had someone else to change most of the poopy diapers!!! How could you not miss it at times?

And while I was up in the wee hours of the morning one day, I found my mind wandering to Michelle Duggar…you know, the 19 children and counting woman from Arkansas. When was the last time she got to sleep through the night? She has been pregnant or had a newborn for like the last 20 years or something, and I know she breastfeeds, so no one else can get up for the midnight feedings. I have been doing it for 5 weeks…maybe the last 3 months if you count my inability to go all night long without peeing in my last couple of weeks of pregnancy….and I just can’t WAIT to sleep for 6 or 7 hours at night.

A Child’s Mind

It is so funny how a child’s mind works sometimes. We have a friend over tonight that my son likes very much and is always concerned about where is is going if he walks out the door. So the friend decides he’s going to go to the local gas station to get some beer for him and hubby for the night (and also pick me up a Mt. Dew).

So, of course as soon as friend walks out the door, Caiden asks where he is going. I told him he was just going to run to the gas station for a minute, to which I get a series of “whys” from Caiden. After answering as many of the as I can, he goes to the door to check it out for himself. He comes back to me and being 100% serious says “Mom he didn’t run, he took his car.”
Oh, the things kids say….

Sleepy Wrap Baby Carrier Review

I know that baby carriers have some bad press right now because of the baby sling recall, but not all slings and wraps are bad. In fact, I think most of them are safe as long as you follow the directions of the carrier and wear your baby the way the carrier was intended.

That being said, I wanted to share my experience with the newest baby carrier I have purchased. When I was pregnant, I asked around in my mommy online community to get some recommendations for a baby carrier. I had tried one style with my first son, and it worked ok, but it was difficult for me to use because you had to put the child into the carrier and then finish tying it. I was always afraid I was going to drop my son. Also, my personal preference has always been a wrap type carrier over a sling because I feel that an infant is much safer in a wrap. (This is just my personal feeling, and I felt like this with my first son as well; long before the recall came out.) So after looking into the different types that were recommended to me, I decided to go with the Sleepy Wrap. There were two major reasons I chose this wrap over all of the others:
  • You tie the wrap completely before you put the child in; and
  • it is reasonably priced;

It took some practice to tie the Sleepy Wrap correctly. Using the directions provided on Sleepy Wrap’s website, along with a couple of videos I found on YouTube, I finally felt comfortable enough to try putting something in my wrap…but before I put my 2 week old child in it, I started with the Curious George doll that my dog is cuddling with in this post.

Finally, I was ready to actually put Bennett in the wrap. The first time he didn’t like it too much. But about 2 days ago I really had some house work to be done and Bennett was having trouble getting to sleep. So, I got out my Sleepy Wrap, got Bennett all nestled in and started clearing the dishwasher. He was asleep in a matter of minutes and I got all my dishes done!

I absolutely love this wrap. Like I said it takes a little practice to get it tied right, but after you do, it works wonderfully from newborn infant, all the way up to a toddler.

Please note, I was not compensated in any way to write this review. I just wanted let my readers know about this wonderful wrap.

I

I can’t sleep 8 hours a night, but I can lay in any position I want to, and get out of bed without any pain
I can’t fit into my pre-pregnancy pants, but I have reached my pre-pregnancy weight
I can’t exercise to get my shape back, but I can walk without becoming short of breath
I can’t pick up my four year old, but he can sit on my lap while I hold the baby
I can’t breastfeed, but I can hold my baby close while I feed him his bottle (and daddy can have a turn too)
I can’t just grab my purse and go, but I can stay home from work until the end of April

I can see my feet and toes, (and I can see that I need a new pedicure!)
I can see my ankles
I can fit into my shoes, which I can tie all by myself

There are many things I can’t do right now, but I can cherish every moment I have with my family. There are some people that are not so lucky. Remembering this during the tough times helps me get through it.

How to Write a Popular Blog

from wikiHow – The How to Manual That You Can Edit

There are thousands of blogs on the internet, but only so many are popular. This article will help your blog become a household name…

Steps

  1. Write about something interesting. Make sure it’s unique, and appeals to everyday people.
  2. When writing, use proper English (no slang or abbreviations) and get a friend/family member to proofread and edit your writing.
  3. Read other popular blogs and find reasons why people like them. What makes them unique? Why does the blog appeal to people so much?
  4. Add pictures to correspond with your writing.
  5. If you’re writing a persuasive post, a reason makes your argument so much more powerful: why should women have the right to say no? Why should the government spend more money on school’s?
  6. Make your blog bright and decorative, so that others will want to read it.
  7. Advertise your blog. Use free advertising web sites, public newspapers, or even just tell a group of friends. Word quickly spreads…
  8. Write something new on your blog at least every few days, and don’t completely finish your blog posts off. Notice how step number 7 didn’t completely end? This leaves people hanging for more.
  9. Don’t use a popular website to create your blog. For example, if someone sees a blog from blogthings.com then they’ll think “Just another blogthings blog”. But if they see a blog from an unusual website then they will be more likely to go to the blog out of curiosity.
  10. Think about your blog’s name. Make the title clear, but also a little bit curios so that people will want to visit the site.

Warnings

  • Don’t put things that can come back to bite you on your blog.

How to Get More Followers on Twitter

from wikiHow – The How to Manual That You Can Edit

Silicon Valley venture capitalist, Guy Kawasaki said, “Truth be told, there are only two kinds of Twitter users: those that want more followers and those that lie.”[1] While this statement is controversial, [2] many people do want more followers on twitter. If you are reading this page, you might be one of them. Here is how you can multiply your follower count.

Steps

1. Follow everyone who follows you. It might seem counterintuitive to do this when you’re focused on gaining followers, but it’s a good practice because:

  • People who notice that you didn’t follow them back might unfollow you.
  • When you follow back, some people might respond to you publicly, which will give you some added exposure to their followers.[3]

If you’re worried that you won’t be able to keep up with that many people, you’re right. Once you’re following over 100 people, it’ll be pretty much impossible to read all their updates. You’ll become more selective in who/what you read.
2. Follow more people yourself.
Here’s why:

  • The fastest way to get more followers is to start following more people. A lot of the people you follow will follow you back. So if you follow more people, you’ll get more followers.
  • You can also put links to your Twitter profile on your blog, website, Squidoo lenses, facebook page, and any other social networking sites where your fans and friends go.

The services that can help you get more followers include:

3. Regularly unfollow people who haven’t followed you back. This is especially important to avoid follow limits. The first limit you’ll probably hit is when you’ve followed 2,000 people. You won’t be able to follow any more until you have 2,000 followers. As you follow and get followed, it’ll become time-consuming to “clean up” your list (unfollow people who aren’t following you back). There are services that can help you with that:

Quantity
If you’re just looking to crank up your numbers, these easy techniques will go a long way in a short time. There’s a lot of clicking but not a lot of thinking involved.

  1. Consider creating a different Twitter account. There’s the possibility that by making a concentrated effort to boost your follower numbers, your account might get suspended (for being a spammer). If your main Twitter account is very valuable to you (it’s your full name, a distinct brand, etc.) you might want to create another one to use these techniques with.
  2. Follow people who follow spammers.
    • Wait until a spam follower follows you. Spam followers will have 1,000 + people they are following but only 5 to 150 followers in return.
    • Follow everyone who follows the spam follower. Those are likely to be people who autofollow or who are following in return in order to boost their own follow count.
  3. Use Twitterholic. Pick major cities, states, countries like Chicago or India and follow anyone with who is following over 200 more people than are following them back.
  4. Follow people who autofollow.
    • Follow everyone on the list at SocialNewsWatch in order to get an easy 237 new followers.
    • “Twitter celebrities” are also likely to follow you back automatically.[3] Like spammers, they’ll be following over a thousand, sometimes tens of thousands of people, but unlike spammers, they’ll have the same number of (or more) followers. You’ll stumble upon such accounts during your Twitter travels (e.g. when they are retweeted by someone you’re following) but you can also do an Internet search for “most popular Twitter accounts” or “popular Tweeters”.

Quality
Just because you have a lot of followers doesn’t mean you’ll get a lot of readership or interaction. If you want followers who will actually read, respond to, and retweet your tweets, use these techniques instead of (or in addition to) the ones above. These require more time and effort.

  1. Make a good avatar. The simplest and most personal way to go is a photograph of your face looking straight into the lens–no funny angles, and nothing else in the photo. Crop it into a square, but don’t shrink it down; you want people to be able to click on it and see the larger version.[3]
  2. Write up a good bio. It’s important that people know who you are and what you’re interested in. Selective followers will read your bio before deciding whether to follow you back.
  3. Tweet well and tweet often. Selective followers will also glance at your most recent tweets to see if you’re worth following.
    • Be interesting, transparent and provocative. Share intimate news about your life. If you can spin a good story, you might get readers addicted to the daily dramas of your everyday life.
    • Post interesting links. Find the man bites dog story. Search the web voraciously for a nugget you can spin into a good tweet. Guy Kawasaki, who has over 100,000 followers, goes as far as paying employees to find buzzworthy stories for him to tweet.[4] There are many websites you can scour for prime Tweeting material, such as:
    • Post multimedia. Switching things up with pictures, videos, and even sound clips here and there can make your posts more fun to follow.
    • Repeat your most popular tweets. Do a search for your Twitter name and observe which of your updates get the most replies and retweets. Then repeat those updates a few times, 8-12 hours apart. You’ll reach more people this way because you’re more likely to catch the attention of people who missed your updates the first time around. People “tune in” to Twitter at various times during the day (and night). If you get complaints about repeated tweets, you might want to slow down, but you probably won’t.[3]
  4. Ask people to retweet you.[5] Some, perhaps many of your followers might not be familiar with the nature of retweeting. But being retweeted pushes your exposure to the edges of your Twitter network. Simply adding “Please retweet” or “Please RT” to the end of some of your posts here and there (not all the time) can remind your followers that you want them to spread the word for you. Occasionally posting a link to an article on How to Retweet will also help your followers help you.
  5. Search for tweets with keywords related to your topics of interest. Let’s say you’re a metalhead. Look for people who mention your favorite metal groups. Reply to their tweets and then follow them. Your response will show them that you have something in common, and make it more likely that they’ll follow you back. Better yet, retweet them if the content is good. Not only are you forming connections with other Twitter users, but you’re also bringing good content to your followers.
  6. Use hashtags. This is another way to connect to people with similar interests. Add hashtags to your tweets, and also create tweets based on hashtags that are popular on Twitter at the time (you can see these as “trending topics” on the right hand side of your Twitter home page).
  7. Put up “Follow me on Twitter” links on your blog, social networking profiles, wikiHow user page, etc. That way, people who are already interested in what you’re doing have a chance to follow you.
  8. Follow people who follow people who are like you. If you’re a tarot fanatic, for example, find another tarot fanatic who has many followers. Follow those followers. If it’s clear in your bio and your tweets that you’re a tarot enthusiast, they’re more likely to follow you.
  9. Make an effort to Keep Your Followers on Twitter. People who actually keep up with the tweets of the people they follow will regularly re-evaluate who they follow, and will unfollow whoever they feel is not worth following anymore.

Warnings

  • Do not send auto DMs as that may result in unfollows.
  • Do not unfollow people right after you follow them. Wait at least five days before you unfollow people who don’t follow back. If you do unfollow right away, you will most likely be reported as a spammer and your account will be suspended.
  • Twitter has a system that detects quick and massive follows and unfollows. If this system catches you, you may have your tweets stricken from the Twitter search engine.
  • Twitter monitors your Follow-To-Follower Ratio. If you are following many more people than are following you, you could be marked as a spammer. It is important for you to clean up your Following-List by unfollowing those who don’t follow you back. Keep your ratio clean.
